Dr Josef Ackermann is a Swiss banker and was the CEO of Deutsche Bank from 2006 until 2012.
We will discuss Dr Ackermann’s career and what it takes to be a top banker; the role of Deutsche Bank and its senior management in the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008 and subsequent financial scandals; and what can be learnt from this for today: are we facing a new global banking crisis or have the effects of Silicon Valley Bank’s and Credit Suisse’s collapse been successfully contained?
