The Cambridge University German Society is honoured to welcome Katelyn Emerson for an exclusive concert in Cambridge on the 1st of February.
Organist, lecturer, and pedagogue Katelyn Emerson, hailed as “one of the world’s most promising organists” (Listvinafélag Hallgrímskirkju, Iceland), is internationally renowned for performances throughout North America, Europe, and Asia that are “thrilling from beginning to end” and that showcase repertoire from the 14th–21st centuries with “impressive technical facility and musicianship” (Cleveland Classical).
The program features songs, dances, variations, and even an opera in miniature by composers from Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and France. It offers a musical journey through the 17th to the 21st centuries, highlighting the beautiful colours of the unique Carsten Lund organ of Trinity Hall.
