Join us in Cambridge for the culminating concert of the “Persevere in Music” tour, a captivating collaboration between Polish tenor Konrad Artur Cygal and classical guitarist Jagoda Świdzińska, based in Graz, Austria.
Their European journey—spanning Austria, Poland, Ireland, and the UK—finds its final expression in this special performance, offering a refined and intimate programme that highlights the lyrical and expressive power of voice and guitar.
The evening features art songs by Carl Maria von Weber, one of the key figures of German Romanticism, alongside the delicate modernism of Benjamin Britten’s Songs from the Chinese, Op. 58. Together, these works present a rich spectrum of chamber music written for this unique instrumentation.
Adding a powerful visual dimension to the concert is the evocative photography of Maciej Majczyński. Inspired by the texts of the performed pieces, his images—featured in the accompanying programme notes—offer a poetic visual narrative that deepens the listener’s experience.
This final presentation in Cambridge is not only a concert, but the culmination of an evolving artistic journey—where music, poetry, and imagery converge.
