– WELCOME TO –

CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY
GERMAN SOCIETY

The Society was founded in 1908. It is a home to over 4.000 students and alumni from the University of Cambridge who share a common interest in German society, culture and history.

Our goal is to encourage intercultural exchange and foster friendships between Germans and non-Germans by providing a platform for mutual exchange. We regularly organise talks with thought leaders, exchanges with other societies and sponsorship- as well as social events.

SPEAKER EVENTS

Each term we organise several inspiring and exciting speaker events with thought leaders from politics, industry and society. Over the past few years we have built up an impressive track record. Among our guests were Dr. Norbert Lammert, Ria Schröder, Barbara Hendricks, Joschka Fischer, Dr. Gregor Gysi, Jan Böhmermann, Charlotte Knobloch and many others. It is important to us that you have a close exchange with our guests to discuss what matters!

SPONSORSHIP EVENTS

Our sponsors and partners are the backbone of our society. Without them we would not be able to organise our events. And yet they are much more. Every term, our longstanding sponsors Google, McKinsey, BCG, Bain, d-fine, Quantco and Oliver Wymann present you with exciting workshops, case competitions and get-to-know-dinners. These events are usually highly sought after. Please make sure to register early for the respective event registrations!
