We have the pleasure of welcoming and hosting two young aspiring artists on their tour through Europe. Konrad Artur Cygal and Stefano Chiurchiù make a stop in Cambridge to perform various pieces in an evening themed “Romantischer Liederabend”. Please do come along to what promises to be a wonderful evening with excellent entertainment!
Konrad Artur Cygal is a tenor hailing from Poland. He commenced his musical education at the Music Primary School in Myslenice, Poland, where he received classical guitar instruction. During his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, he took part in the following productions: “Der Silbersee” by K. Weil (as the Bursche, 2017), “Dialogues des Carmélites” by F. Poulenc (as L’Aumonier, 2018), and “Im weißen Rössl” by R. Benatzky (as Sigismund, 2019). In 2018, he was a soloist in the Austrian Premier of “Achtung, Aufnahme!”, an Opera by W. Grosz (as the Student), which took place at the ORF Radiokulturhaus in Vienna. In 2022, he performed in “Albert Herring” by B. Britten (as Mayor Upfold) in Graz.
Stefano Chiurchiù, pianist, was born in 1994 and completed his studies with distinction at the “G.B. Pergolesi” Conservatory of Music in Fermo under the guidance of Professor Fabrizio Viti. Subsequently, he continued his studies at the “Accademia Pianistica delle Marche” in Recanati, Italy, under the mentorship of Professor Lorenzo Di Bella. Currently, he is specializing in vocal chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class led by Prof. Julius Drake, previously by Professor Stacey Bartsch.
